About Us

The Milford Yacht Club was organized on June 27, 1903 at the home of Dr. W. S. Putney. The corporation was formed to encourage yachting and other social recreations. The Milford Yacht Club is located at the confluence of Milford Harbor and Long Island Sound. We offer beautiful views of Long Island Sound, Charles Island and the Milford shoreline.

The Milford Yacht Club has a long history of sailing featuring Thursday night races for adults as well as an active junior sailing program, an adult learn-to-sail program, and sailboats to charter.

Open from early March through late January, we offer members and guests a full-service restaurant and bar with many social activities throughout the year.

Our outdoor pool and kiddie pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Our MYC swim team competes with other members of the Connecticut Private Club Swim League.

We have reciprocity with other member organizations of Yachting Club of America and avail overnight dockage to those reciprocal members.
